welcome to Expresso 90 Film Festival
Expresso 90 Second Film Festival is an event that calls upon film-makers of all ages and backgrounds to create compelling and engaging super short films. The panel will be looking for films that arrest, entertain, provoke thought and showcase the sophisticated abilities needed to produce fully rounded productions in such a limited time frame.

Rules & Terms
All submitted films will be judged by our panel and shortlisted ahead of the Festival. Only shortlisted films will be screened at the festival event. If your film is not screened, your submission fee is non-refundable.
All films submitted under the category of ‘Best Young Filmmaker’ must be from filmmakers aged 18 or under. Submissions from filmmakers over this age restriction will not be considered for the festival.
Films must be no longer than 90 seconds (excluding credits). You may submit multiple films for consideration.
In order to be considered for the festival, you must enable 'festival downloads' in your film’s privacy settings.
There is no premiere status requirement.
All films submitted must be free of charge for audiences to view.
We require all films submitted to have all necessary rights and releases secured before submission, including all music used. We, the festival promoters, are not liable for any copyright infringements or unauthorized usage and any conflict should be settled by the parties involved thereof. You, the filmmaker, are solely responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, and publicity.
We cannot issue fee waivers for any entries. This is to keep entries fair and to allow us to keep the festival running.
We are unable to refund submission fees once your film has been submitted. Please ensure that your film is ready to submit before doing so.
If your film is shortlisted, we require a poster and a brief synopsis to include in the festival marketing.
All decisions made by the judges are final, and cannot be contested.

Awards & PrizesBetween 10-20 shortlisted films will be screened at The Mockingbird Cinema to a packed-out audience of film fans and receive a selection laurel.
Our panel of judges will anonymously select which film they believe to be the best. The winner will receive the coveted Expresso 90 trophy, certificate, an IMA tote bag and pin as well as a voucher for The Mockingbird Cinema. |
